Moving Around

Wedding Day Transportation

We’ve arranged shuttles and mini-buses specifically for the day of the wedding to transport guests to and from the ceremony and reception venues.

Car rentals

Hiring a car is the most flexible and convenient way to get around the island.

Make sure you choose a reputable company as poorly maintained vehicles can be a problem.

Also make sure that your driving licence is valid and recognised in Greece.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available and a good option for shorter distances.

By law, taxis in Greece must have a POS (point-of-sale) system for card payments.

If the driver claims they can only accept cash, this is against the rules, and you are within your rights to leave without paying if they refuse to accept card payment.

Alternatively, you can choose another taxi that complies with the law.

Local Buses

Zakynthos has a fairly good network of local buses linking the main town and popular destinations. They are an easy and affordable option.

Be sure to check current bus routes and timetables in advance, as schedules and routes may be limited. Tickets can usually be bought from kiosks, bus stations or sometimes directly from the driver, but it's a good idea to check the ticket purchasing options beforehand as they can change.

Important Notice

Although bicycles, scooters and quads may seem like a fun option, we advise against renting them as they can be dangerous, especially on Zakynthos' winding roads.

Safety first!
